A question is one which seeks a response or an answer. Every day, people are asked to get asked questions. There are some questions that are open ended which require explanation, explanation and various other things, whereas some questions are closed , requiring only to answer with a Yes or No. In certain situations, others pose questions that do not need to be answered but rather for someone else to listen (rhetoric or rhetorical questions). According to the structure and the nature of the inquiry, the response will have to be able to explain what they are looking for in the first place. The majority of people fail in exams simply because they're not smart, but rather because they fail grasp what is asked of them. Inability to explain the question correctly can lead to a wrong action or response. After an event, you will feel satisfied when people have questions. It could be a sign that people were engaged in the presentation and that the program sparked interest in others. What you do to answer these questions will help improve the impression your audience has of your company or boost their confidence in your company's product or services. As a professional you will have learn how to ask relevant questions but most importantly how you can answer them effectively.

Before you decide to answer to a question make sure you have a clear mind about what the question is about. There is no harm in seeking clarification on the topic being asked. Be polite and ask "I apologize, I do not seem to grasp what you're asking Could you please clarify?" It is easier to communicate with this approach than you can simply talk about the topic with little knowledge or clarity. Remember that the reason for answering questions is for you to contribute positively to the one who is looking for an answer. Don't waste your time. Seek understanding first.

One way to improve the likelihood of you answering your question in an accurate and objective manner is when you give the person who is asking the question enough time to finish asking. Some people take their time to clearly define what they want to know. Responding to a question after it is thoroughly asked can appear insensitive. Do not assume that you are aware of where the questions are taking and therefore want to help the person to understand the question. If you're in a hurry allow the person to "ramble" while you record key factors. It gives you the time to synthesize and think of which answer is best to the question. The ability to hear gives you a high rate of success in your answering of questions.

It is your responsibility to determine whether you're qualified to answer that question or whether someone else is. Can you legally speak about the subject (journalists have the power to make you feel uncomfortable even when you're not expected to be the company spokesperson)? What is the depth of your answer be? Moments of silence and pauses indicate that you aren't just churning through whatever substance you've got in your mind but a clearly considered answer is about to be delivered. You can actually prepare someone who is expecting an answer by telling them "Let me think about it ..., Let me look around." ..". That way the person does stop waiting around, thinking there is nothing you've heard and you're just ignoring and ignoring. It also allows you in coming up with suggestions that you'll never regret regarding later. You will be able to determine the best approach to address the issue with wisdom without leaving the person with scars or fresh wounds.
