You'll be more effective in this situation than being unable to speak with clarification or understanding. Keep in mind that the goal of answering questions is for you give a meaningful contribution to the person trying to find an answer. Do not waste time. Seek understanding first.

One way to improve your ability to answer an inquiry in a pertinent and objective way is to ensure that you give the person asking the question time to finish asking.
