A question is a statement that demands a response or answer. On a regular basis you get to ask to be asked questions. Some questions a open ended needing explanation, explanation, and so on while other questions need only an answer of a yes or no. In some cases, there are questions that do not need a response but simply for someone to listen to (rhetoric question). Based on the form of the issue, your answer is required to answer what you are trying to find in the question. A lot of students fail exams not because they're boring but because they fail to know what the question is asking of them. A failure to present the problem correctly leads to an ineffective action or response. After an appearance, you'll be content if people inquire about your presentation. This could be a sign that they were engaged in what you were presenting and that your presentation has arouse interest among others. The way you respond will improve the perception of your audience of your company or boost their trust in your product or services. As a professional you will need to master your art of asking relevant questions . But most importantly, you need to know how to answer questions effectively.

Before you get started on answering a question, make sure you have a clear mind about what the question is about. There's no harm in getting clarity on what's being asked. Make a polite request "I apologize, I'm not able to be able to comprehend what you're asking I would appreciate if you could clarify?" You'll have a better chance of communicating in such situations than being unable to speak with clarification or understanding. Keep in mind that the purpose of answering questions is to provide a valuable contribution to the person trying to find an answer. Do not waste your time. Seek understanding first.

One way to improve your efficiency in responding to your question in a sensible and objective manner is when you give the person posing you the question to finish asking. A few people take time to elaborate on what they are seeking. Being able to answer a problem before it is clearly asked for can be insensitive. Don't presume you know exactly where the person is asking you, hence you would like to assist the person to clarify the issue. If you're short on time take the time to let the person "ramble" while taking notes of important elements. This also allows you time for you to think up which answer is best to the question. The ability to listen will give an excellent chance to succeed in answering the questions.

You have to determine if you are qualified to answer that inquiry or you are. Is it your right to speak on that subject (journalists can make you vulnerable even when you're not intended to be spokesperson of the company)? How deep should the answer be? Silence and breaks in the conversation suggest that you're just making up whatever information you've in your mind but a clearly thought out solution is coming. You can actually prepare someone for an answer by saying "Let me think ..., Let me know." ..". This way, the person will do not just sit and think you've missed something or you're just not listening, the person who is waiting for you to answer. Also, thinking about it helps to make statements which you'll regret in the future. It is possible to identify the best method of answering with wisdom without leaving the person with wounded or new wounds.
